THE LEAGUE FOR CLUBS: Oakland SC, Yuba FC cruise to NorCal wins

LIVERMORE, Calif. – Oakland SC kept pace in the upper echelon of the NorCal Conference with another lopsided win Saturday.

This time around Oakland SC cruised past Bay Valley Suns 7-1 in The League For Clubs play.

Mahmoud Musa netted the brace and six different players scored goals in the conference victory. Musa scored in the 35th minute in what proved to be the game-winner and added another tally in the 58th minute.

Oscar Cervantes (eighth), Jaored Barreto (47th), Alexandre Bernier (49th), Jvon Cunningham (51st) and Montreux Maeder (90th) also scored for Oakland SC (5-1-1), which owns a 28-9 scoring edge this season. 

Collin Nestor recorded the win in goal.

Christian Smith scored for the Bay Valley Suns.

YUBA FC 7, AFGHAN PREMIER FC 2: Yuba FC built an early 3-0 lead and cruised to this NorCal Conference win Saturday at River Valley (Calif.) High School in Yuba City.

Luiz Martinez, Hiroshi Yang and Andres Prieto gained braces in the win, as Martinez scored in the second and 70th minutes, Yang scored back-to-back goals in the 65th and 69th minutes, and Prieto tallied in the 11th and 26th minutes for Yuba FC. Andrew Yang added a goal in the 81st minutes to cap the scoring for Yuba.

Jared Oseguera notched the win between the pipes for Yuba.

Sonrab Rashid scored both goals for Afghan Premier FC with his tallies coming in the 42nd and 87th minutes. His first goal closed the gap down to 2-1 just before the half but Afghan Premier was outscored 5-1 in the second half.
